Product first
Material choices are reviewed against silhouette, fit intention, support, construction and end use.
Fabric library & materials
Fabrics, linings, support materials, color, trims and components shape how a product looks, fits and performs. We review these decisions as part of development — not as an afterthought.
Material choices are reviewed against silhouette, fit intention, support, construction and end use.
Availability, color, composition and sourcing route can vary by project, supplier and production timing.
Relevant fabric, lining and trim decisions are clarified before the collection moves into bulk production.
Material directions
This is a development guide rather than a fixed stock list. Exact fabrics, colors, composition, minimums and certifications are confirmed against the requirements of each project.
FabricReview the base material direction around stretch, recovery, handfeel, surface appearance and the intended product category.
SupportLining, opacity, compression and support decisions are considered together with the outer fabric and product construction.
ColorColor is reviewed against material availability, collection consistency and the way the shade behaves on the selected base.
ApplicationMatte, smooth, lustrous or textured directions influence the visual character of a collection and are assessed with the silhouette.
ComponentsRings, sliders, closures, cups, elastics and other components are reviewed as part of the complete product rather than isolated details.
DevelopmentWe prefer to assess material choices in the context of the actual style, where stretch, gathering, coverage and construction become visible.

What we clarify
The best fabric is not simply the most expensive or the most technical. It is the one that fits the product brief, construction, market and commercial plan.
Surface, sheen, texture, touch and perceived quality should support the visual direction of the collection.
Different silhouettes ask for different levels of flexibility, shape retention, lining and internal support.
Shade, coverage and lining requirements need to be understood on the selected material — especially for lighter colors.
Elastics, cups, wire, boning, rings, sliders and closures are coordinated with the fabric and the construction method.
Supplier availability, minimums, timing and repeatability are reviewed before material choices are treated as production-ready.

Sourcing & responsible options
When a project calls for recycled, certified or supplier-specific materials, we review the available route with the collection requirements in mind.
We do not treat sustainability language as a generic label. Supplier, material and certification details should be confirmed for the specific fabric selected for the project.
Important: material names, certifications, supplier claims and availability should only be published or presented as confirmed once the exact material and documentation have been verified for the relevant project.
